The European Parliament´s Directorate-General for Cohesion, Agriculture and Social Policies would like to draw your attention to the ex ante publicity of the following call for tender “Managing Tourism Development in the EU: Funding Frameworks and Indicators for Sustainable Tourism”.

Deliver a study on “Managing Tourism Development in the EU: Funding Frameworks and Indicators for Sustainable Tourism”.
The overall objective is to provide EU legislators with an evidence-based and data-driven assessment of the governance frameworks, destination-management tools and EU funding mechanisms required to ensure sustainable tourism development across the EU. In the short term, the study should provide MEPs and the TRAN Committee with concrete options and recommendations to inform their position in the upcoming post-2027 MFF negotiations. Building on this, the study should propose a recommended model, including improved indicators and a funding-linkage mechanism, together with policy guidelines for EU tourism development towards 2050. The project should provide concrete policy recommendations relevant to EU decision-making, with a particular focus on the role and competences of the European Parliament.
Minimum requirements: team of minimum 5 experts with sound educational/professional qualifications and experience that are clearly relevant to the research area.
Participation to this procedure is open exclusively to natural and legal persons coming within the scope of the EU Treaties, to natural and legal persons established in a third country which has a special agreement with the EU in the field of public procurement, and to international organisations. This means that access to this procedure is granted to entities based in EU Members States; Overseas Countries and Territories; EEA Members: Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein; Countries under SAA: North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Others can participate only as subcontractors.
