The presentation of the study took place on 23 June 2026 and focused on the following topics:

• Technical inspection regarding traffic safety and emission reduction.
• Remote emission sensing and its role on detecting fraudulently manipulated or defective systems.
• The necessity to establish a cross-border data-exchange platform for registration, driver licence and inspection data.

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating debate.
