[Digest] Workshop: Hemp in the CAP reform

The workshop, which took place on 28 February 2023, explored the following topics:

• the hemp cultivation support under the CAP reform;
• the use of the CAP support by the Member States in the national strategic plans;
• a multitude of different aspects related to hemp such as farming, production, legislation, trade and market potentials.

Members raised the questions on how to overcome legislative and administrative barriers to hemp cultivation and processing.
They were united in requesting a common approach for hemp in Europe.
