The presentation of the study took place on 4 September 2024 and focused on the following topics:
- The EU CCS policy developments from 2019-2024.
- The different areas identified as having been central to EU CCS policy making.
- The need to further mainstream the CCS into the European project.
- Policy actions to support the CCS, update the CCS ecosystems, nourish safe spaces for cultural interaction, and increase cooperative governance.
The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating debate on government influence on cultural sectors, the ways in which the CCS sectors are among the most affected by transformation (in a post-COVID-19 and digital era), how to ensure fair working conditions and competition, the barriers to culture, the challenges posed by AI on artists, and the role of key pieces of CULT legislation.
