[Digest] Cross-border cooperation in fisheries management – Best practices from the Western Waters, the Mediterranean Sea and the Baltic Sea

The workshop took place on 15 July 2026 and included three study presentations, each of which focused on a specific EU sea basin.

The workshop explored how Member States address joint management of shared stocks in cross-border situations and highlighted different views on fisheries cooperation in different sea basins, in order to identify examples of cooperation that successfully improved the state of the fisheries resources and best practices that could be replicated elsewhere.

The presentations were followed by a thought-provoking debate with interesting comments and questions from the Members.
