The presentation of the study took place on 3 October 2024 and focused on the following topics:

  • Main legislation in EU education and training (E&T), youth and sport policy;
  • Main findings of the study in E&T, youth and sport policy;
  • Overarching recommendations.

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating discussion on access to quality education, the recognition of qualifications and the importance of engaging with the youth and with teachers. Access to sports, including for women and persons with disabilities was also debated. As well as how these aspects can be improved by leveraging existing key EU programmes under the CULT Committee’s remit such as Erasmus+ or through other instruments, for instance the ESF+ or regional development funds.
