[Digest] Study presentation: Unmanned Aircraft Systems integration into European airspace and operation over populated areas

The presentation of the study took place on 19 July 2023 and focused on the following topics:

• Key regulatory aspects;
• Considerations for and challenges of airspace integration;
• Good practices;
• Military and civil integration;
• Assessment of the Drone Strategy 2.0;
• Policy recommendations.

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating debate, such as on drone safety and technology, security, balancing legislation and innovation, public safety and privacy, harmonisation and certification aspects, and economic potential.
