[Digest] Exploring Strategies for Using Cohesion Funds to Address Social and Economic Challenges in the EU

The presentation of the study took place on 19 March 2025 and focused on the following topics:

• Socio-economic, demographic and technological challenges
• Cohesion Policy’s contribution to tackling these challenges
• Cohesion Policy’s strengths and gaps
• Policy implications

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and an insightful discussion on potential strategies to improve support for less developed regions, enhancing fund absorption, and brain drain as criterion for the next funding period.
