[Digest] Streamlining EU Cohesion funds: addressing administrative burdens and redundancy

The presentation of the study took place on 19 February 2025 and focused on the following topics:

• Simplification efforts since 2007
• Administrative burdens and challenges
• Complex network of ESIF and possibilities of consolidations
• Short-term and long-term recommendations

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and an insightful discussion on reducing red tape and increasing flexibility, state aid rules, and the principles of shared management and partnership.
