[Digest] Transport and tourism in outermost regions: assessing mobility poverty and the effects of new climate policies

The presentation of the study took place on 18 March 2025 and focused on the following topics:

• The assessment of the effects of mobility poverty on the transport and tourism sectors of the nine outermost regions;
• The review of Fit for 55 transport-related legislation and its implications for these remote territories;
• The outline of the main EU, national and regional measures tackling the effects of both mobility poverty and the new climate legislation;
• Conclusions and recommendations.

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating debate.
