The presentation of the study took place on 20 March 2024, and mainly focused on:
- Conceptual aspects of competitiveness
- Evolution of EU’s self-sufficiency for fisheries & aquaculture products (FAPs)
- Extra-EU imports of FAPs
- Results of the 4 Case studies
- Factors affecting competitiveness of the fisheries and aquaculture sector
- Policy recommendations
The presentation was followed by an interesting exchange with Members of the PECH Committee and European Commission representatives of DG MARE.
