[Digest] Study presentation: Role and impact of China on world fisheries and aquaculture

The presentation of the study took place on 24 January 2023  and focused on the following topics:

1. 1. Overview of the Chinese fleets, aquaculture, and trade
   2. Practices of granting fishing licenses
   3. China’s subsidies to its fishing sector
   4. IUU fishing practices
   5. EU-China cooperation
   6. Consequences to the EU of China’s fishing and aquaculture
   7. Protection of the EU fisheries and aquaculture sectors against unfair competition
   8. Conclusions and Recommendations

The presentation was followed by questions from the Members and a stimulating debate.
