SUMMARY:HOUS workshop: Housing for students and young people in training
DESCRIPTION:Students and young people in training have been disproportionately affected by the housing crisis as they face rising housing costs and accommodation shortages. The Commission’s recent European Affordable Housing Plan (EAHP)\, presented 16 December 2025\, therefore recognises students and apprentices as a vulnerable group and proposes targeted solutions to address their housing situation. \nOrganised alongside a new study on the same topic\, this workshop explores the state of student housing in the EU and aims to critically review and discuss the actions included in the EAHP to guarantee solutions for decent\, sustainable\, and affordable housing for students as per the EP’s recent resolution on the housing crisis in the EU.
